Production Engineer

Job Overview: Celestix Industries is looking for a hands-on and efficiency-driven Production Engineer to lead daily manufacturing operations for our custom wiring harness production line. This role requires strong technical understanding, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to manage teams and resources to deliver quality output on time.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution

  • Schedule and manage daily production to meet delivery targets.

  • Optimize the utilization of labor, materials, and machines.

  • Track production metrics and drive improvements in throughput and efficiency.

2. Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.

  • Conduct in-process inspections and address deviations promptly.

  • Coordinate with QA to implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).

3. Process Optimization

  • Analyze existing workflows and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen practices.

  • Develop and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all key processes.

4. Equipment Maintenance

  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure machine uptime.

  • Recommend upgrades or process modifications to improve performance.

5. Team Management

  • Supervise shop floor technicians and operators.

  • Deliver training on safety, quality standards, and work instructions.

  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

6. Inventory & Material Coordination

  • Liaise with procurement to ensure the timely availability of materials.

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure component traceability.

7. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.

  • Lead safety audits and implement risk mitigation strategies.

8. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with design, quality, and sales teams to align production with project goals.

  • Generate production reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management.

  • Maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 2–4 years of experience in wiring harness manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of production planning tools and shop floor software.

  • Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
