Job Overview: Celestix Industries is looking for a hands-on and efficiency-driven Production Engineer to lead daily manufacturing operations for our custom wiring harness production line. This role requires strong technical understanding, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to manage teams and resources to deliver quality output on time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Execution
Schedule and manage daily production to meet delivery targets.
Optimize the utilization of labor, materials, and machines.
Track production metrics and drive improvements in throughput and efficiency.
2. Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Conduct in-process inspections and address deviations promptly.
Coordinate with QA to implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
3. Process Optimization
Analyze existing workflows and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen practices.
Develop and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all key processes.
4. Equipment Maintenance
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure machine uptime.
Recommend upgrades or process modifications to improve performance.
5. Team Management
Supervise shop floor technicians and operators.
Deliver training on safety, quality standards, and work instructions.
Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
6. Inventory & Material Coordination
Liaise with procurement to ensure the timely availability of materials.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure component traceability.
7. Safety & Compliance
Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Lead safety audits and implement risk mitigation strategies.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with design, quality, and sales teams to align production with project goals.
Generate production reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management.
Maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
2–4 years of experience in wiring harness manufacturing.
Knowledge of production planning tools and shop floor software.
Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 standards.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
