Job Overview: Celestix Industries is seeking a detail-driven and experienced Senior Quoting & Engineering Specialist to lead the evaluation, cost estimation, and ERP integration of custom wiring harness projects. Reporting to the Engineering Head, you’ll bridge engineering feasibility and commercial quoting by analyzing RFQs, optimizing BOM structures, and aligning with procurement and production planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drawing Analysis & BOM Development

• Interpret customer drawings, wire lists, and technical specs to create accurate BOMs.

• Identify parts available in ERP vs. new parts; ensure costs and AVL (Approved Vendor List) data are up-to-date.

• Document manufacturer part numbers and technical details for missing items.

2. Quotation Preparation & Costing

• Create detailed Excel sheets mapping part numbers to ERP codes with quantity per assembly.

• Float enquiries to vendors; collect cost, MOQ, Min/Mult data, and lead times.

• Negotiate technical and commercial terms with suppliers.

• Compute total material and labor cost per RFQ and identify tooling needs in coordination with CFT.

• Study drawings and specs to assess material, time, and labor requirements.

• Prepare optimized and competitive quotes.

3. CAD & Jig Development

• Design jig board drawings in CAD for prototype and production planning.

4. ERP Data Management

• Create Parent and Child Item Cards using ERP-compliant ID structures.

• Input BOM into Parent Cards and link Children Items with traceable drawing numbers.

• Maintain vendor master data and cost entries.

• Update ERP records for new Change Notices (ECNs).

5. Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Select and evaluate vendors based on price, availability, and technical fit.

• Resolve ERP item issues (e.g., pricing, lead times, duplicates).

• Ensure on-time component availability by working closely with vendors.

• Assist in sourcing unique parts like receptacles for test fixture creation.

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

• 4–6 years of experience in wiring harness quoting, engineering, and ERP coordination.

• Strong understanding of RFQ workflows, BOM architecture, and costing strategy.

• Hands-on experience with CAD tools, Excel, and ERP systems.

• Knowledge of industry standards: IPC/WHMA-A-620, ISO 9001:2015, and quoting best practices.
