Job Overview: Celestix Industries is seeking a seasoned and strategic Production Manager to lead and optimize daily operations within our custom wiring harness manufacturing unit. This role is vital to ensuring efficiency, quality, compliance, and timely delivery across the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Develop and execute detailed production schedules aligned with customer demand.

• Allocate resources, including manpower, machines, and materials, effectively.

• Ensure on-time delivery with minimal disruption and optimized output.

2. Process Management & Optimization

• Monitor day-to-day production operations and maintain workflow continuity.

• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Eliminate bottlenecks and increase overall production efficiency.

3. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.

• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure product reliability and process audits.

• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective measures.

4. Workforce Management

• Supervise and develop shop floor teams, including operators, technicians, and engineers.

• Promote a culture of safety and discipline across production.

• Conduct training and evaluations, and handle team grievances effectively.

5. Material & Inventory Management

• Work with the supply chain team to ensure raw material availability.

• Minimize wastage through smart material usage and Just-in-Time (JIT) practices.

• Optimize inventory holding with accurate planning and controls.

6. Equipment & Maintenance Oversight

• Oversee machine availability and preventive maintenance.

• Coordinate with maintenance to reduce unplanned downtimes.

• Recommend and implement automation or process improvement tools.

7. Cost Control & Budgeting

• Monitor production costs while maintaining quality output.

• Lead budgeting for production operations and implement cost-saving measures.

8. Cross-Department Coordination

• Work closely with engineering, procurement, design, logistics, and sales.

• Support new product development through proactive production input.

• Ensure smooth material and communication flow across departments.

9. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain production records, reports, and documentation as per audit needs.

• Ensure compliance with internal standards and customer specifications.

10. Problem Solving & Reporting

• Proactively identify and resolve production challenges.

• Analyze KPIs and performance metrics for continuous improvement.

• Report progress, issues, and innovations to senior management.

Qualifications:

• B.E./Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

• 6–10 years of hands-on experience in production management in wiring harness or electronics manufacturing.

• Strong command over ERP, production planning tools, and lean principles.

• Excellent leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills.
