Senior Quality Engineer

Job Overview: Celestix Industries is looking for a hands-on and process-driven Senior Quality Engineer, reporting to the Quality Manager. This role plays a key part in implementing and maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS), leading audits, and ensuring customer and supplier quality across our custom wiring harness production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. QMS Implementation & Compliance

  • Maintain and enhance compliance with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and customer-specific standards.

  • Conduct and support internal, external, and customer audits.

  • Ensure all quality documentation, work instructions, and procedures are current and audit-ready.

2. Product & Process Quality Control

  • Define inspection standards and quality control plans across all stages—Incoming, In-Process, and Final.

  • Execute and review First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP submissions.

  • Ensure material traceability and lead defect management across the supply chain.

3. Customer & Supplier Quality Management

  • Handle customer complaints and warranty issues and manage CAPA/8D reports.

  • Conduct supplier audits and evaluations; enforce quality benchmarks and corrective actions.

  • Build strong customer relationships by ensuring QMS alignment with expectations.

4. Root Cause Analysis & CI Initiatives

  • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen tools to reduce scrap, rework, and defects.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to improve quality KPIs and productivity.

5. Inspection & Testing

  • Oversee routine and critical testing procedures—electrical, mechanical, and environmental.

  • Implement SPC, MSA, Gauge R&R, and other statistical tools.

  • Ensure compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards during inspection activities.

6. Training & Team Support

  • Train and mentor junior engineers, quality inspectors, and operators.

  • Promote a strong quality culture across departments.

  • Support continuous learning and process awareness among all floor personnel.

Qualifications:

  • B.E./Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 4–6 years of experience in quality control for wiring harness or electronics manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of QMS audits, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, CAPA, and ISO/IATF systems.

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
